Overview
The Quality Control Inspector uses working knowledge of quality control techniques and methodology to provide technical assistance to operations and field personnel.

Basic Qualifications: • Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess valid, unexpired driver’s license
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
Preferred Qualifications: • One (1) year of similar experience preferred
• Prior surveyor or Quality Control experience preferred
• Possession of an Inspector Certification in a technical field is preferred
Responsibilities: • Conduct pre-construction meetings with property managers, owners, FDOT inspectors, and Department Manager and others as required
• Prepare day’s inspection and work schedule
• Interface with lead and supervisor for direction and assignments
• Verify materials, workmanship, and specification/code requirements
• Ensure that contractors are working within the guidelines and specifications set forth by permits
• Perform inspections and documentation of in-process, start-up, and operations activity
• Trouble-shoot engineering design and participates in resolution of issues
• Complete detailed inspection records and maintains technical and other pertinent documents, as directed
• Perform inspections in accordance with inspection plan, monitors inspection duties assigned to subcontractors, and reviews results of inspections - Identifies and monitors performance of witness and hold points in Work Planning packages
• Identify nonconforming items and corrective action requirements; initiate nonconformance reports and monitors status through closure of corrective action
• Maintain databases through established project standard computer applications
• Perform QC/QA surveillances
• Create Dailies and QC reports for invoicing
• Perform Quality Control Inspections to ensure that work activities meet required quality standards
• Conduct contractor site inspections for safety and proper setup
• Check job sites for damage, and if found immediately reports to supervisor
• Respond to customer complaints and affect resolutions
• Create internal memorandum advising the supervisor of any subcontractor’s negligence before the matter escalates to the client
• Assist crews when needed to complete the job, within reason
