Space Analyst serves as an analytical expert to category allocation analytics, used by the Customer Experience Design, Visual Merchandising, and Planogramming organizations at Lowe's to support space optimization and merchandising projects.
What you will do
Partners with Visual Merchandising and Planogramming team members to develop deep understanding of business strategies and drivers, inclusive of space and presentation criteria.
Develops an understanding of the tools, data, processes and key metrics used across the Merchandising organization.
Utilizes business strategies, consumer insights, competitor insights, financial metrics (sales and gross margin), and space data to partner with the data science team for building models and making recommendations for space allocation and flow.
Supports Ad Hoc problem-solving using data from primary and secondary sources.
Analyzes and interprets the data using statistical techniques.
Generates insights using business knowledge and data.
Translates recommendations into non-technical output to help teams make sound decisions.
Locates and defines new standardization and automation opportunities, while simultaneously solving for the nuances in each business. Partners with technology and data science to build scalable solutions.
Participates and presents in regular meetings with cross functional teams, as required
Acts as a point of contact for space data and analysis related questions coming from merchandising, store operations, vendors, and service groups.
Acts as a mentor/trainer for the new hires and guide the Visual Space team and POG team, on an as needed basis.
