The Opportunity:
Be at the forefront of data-driven decision-making by joining the MSP Joint Domain as a Data Scientist. Your expertise will enable the integration of intelligent datasets, process automation, and advanced analytic where you'll play a key role by enhancing mission-critical data solutions.
This is a full-time permanent position, based in RAAF Base, Edinburgh – South Australia.
Interstate applicants are welcome to apply however relocation to South Australia will be required.
This position will require an active AGSVA NV1 clearance and the successful candidate must be willing to upgrade to an NV2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data ingestion tools for integrating intelligence datasets
- Automate data transformation, validation, and curation processes.
- Design and deploy data analytics and visualisation tools for enhanced decision-making.
- Identify, resolve, and track data discrepancies across multiple sources.
- Collaborate with analysts to fuse complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Create predictive models and algorithms to simulate scenarios and enhance data accuracy.
- Generate automated reporting solutions tailored to stakeholder requirements.
Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in large-scale data management, curation, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of statistical modelling, machine learning, and simulation frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in ambiguity analysis.
