About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer on the Trust Business Control Team within Wealth and Investment Management (WIM). This team supports the Trust businesses in their risk and control activities, including most notably issue management, RCSA and audit/testing support. This role would primarily have issue management responsibilities, but the role will also be involved in RCSA and other risk/control activities.
In this role, you will:- Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact
- Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area
- Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies
- Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
- Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls
- Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
- Lead Control Management project or virtual teams
Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Knowledge and understanding on Control Programs including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), executing the RCSA (risk identification, risk assessment - inherent/residual, and control design and Issue Management
- Direct experience with Issue Management Life Cycle and issue & corrective action remediation
- Knowledge and understanding of Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) and Veritas such as reporting and issue management
- Track record of providing constructive challenge with appropriate escalation, root cause analysis and offering solutions
- Strong experience with Issues Management, including design of controls and managing corrective action
- 6+ months of experience in Trusts
- 1+ year of experience testing internal controls
- 1 year of project management experience
- 2 years' experience communicating (written and verbal) to senior leaders
Job Expectations:- Position offers a hybrid work schedule in which you are required to work in office 3 days per week at a minimum in one of the locations listed below
