Job Summary
We are seeking entry-level software developers (SWE0) to support modernization and development of next generation cybersecurity software. The ideal candidate will help design and develop cutting edge, modern and scalable frameworks for our customers to ensure our customers have the latest and greatest technologies available to the warfighter. Projects are worked directly with customers on the most mission critical systems to quickly enhance capabilities or resolve issues in existing tools for real-world applications. This position is an onsite role.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college
Experience with C, C++, or Python a plus
Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
Debug existing software and correct defects.
Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
