The following position is to join our RTX Corporate: Team:
RTX has an opening for an HR/Payroll Applications Developer (Principal Specialist, Business Systems and Transformation).
What You Will Do:
- Requirements gathering, analysis, design, and development of data integrations, applications using html / JavaScript / Oracle mod PL/SQL and UNIX.
- Design and develop Digital Technology projects aligned with HR groups using Oracle PL/SQL and UNIX.
- Follow IT processes and design approaches to meet project and business needs and deadlines.
- Develop code using Oracle PL/SQL / UNIX and applications development / Integrations HUB and ADP integrations within RTX environment.
- Follow waterfall / agile methods for development, shorter timelines, and more robust integrations.
- Support the Workday/ADP integration requirements across countries. Communicate and work with HR, Payroll and Digital teams accordingly to manage code development and system constraints, while supporting the project timeline goals.
- In addition to process and system improvements, develop strong relationships with other members of the HR Digital team, HR, and Payroll teams to facilitate integration delivery & support.
- Provide innovative technology solutions for the overall system landscape & architecture.
- Develop functional, technical and integration expertise for self & team through continuous classroom training & on-the-job training.
- Work with ADP, Workday, and other team member and explore additional opportunities/value that can be provided to RTX through investments already made.
Qualification You Must Have:
- Typically a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in HR / Payroll domain and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related work and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 3+ years’ related work experience
- 3+ years' experience in the software development life cycle including Requirements, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of HR / Payroll applications using UNIX, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
- 3+ years' experience in designing, developing, testing, and implementing complex database programs using Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX.
- Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualification We Prefer:
- Worked on the Oracle SQL queries and PL/SQL objects like functions, procedures, packages, triggers, views including materialized views, db links, sequences, cursors, transactions, dynamic SQL queries, exception handling.
- Experience in production support activities like working on tickets / debugging / fixing Oracle objects.
- Experience in data mapping / conversion / transformation / integration activities according to third-party (vendor) requirements and integration of legacy applications/tools with the vendor tools including Workday / ADP products.
- Optimizing performance of existing Oracle code, Oracle queries, stored procedures, packages, functions using explain plan.
- Development of UNIX Shell Scripts for loading Oracle tables from data files using SQL LOADER and automating UNIX scripts through UNIX CRON JOBS.
- Experience in working closely with QA teams and reviewing test plans.
- Experience in assessing and solving complex issues imposed by nature of business, also, to carry out detailed impact assessments for proposed change requests, proposing alternative cost-effective solutions where appropriate.
- Proven experience and comfortable in managing multiple priorities and relationships with stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet critical business needs and timelines.
- Strong time management and self-motivation skills.
- Deep technical capability and ability to drive technical conversations and changes aligned with project and digital technology goals.
- Self-starter, adaptable, detail oriented, strategic thinker.
- Experience with large projects/implementations.
- Action oriented and results driven with an ability to drive new and innovative solutions in alignment to the organizations / functions strategy.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
