B.S. Trucking Inc. is seeking qualified delivery drivers for routes in Salina, KS to deliver and pick up packages from the business and residential customers we service. Drivers can expect 40-60 hour work weeks. For the traveling position the work location will change from time to time but all travel and lodging expenses are covered. Great opportunity for someone who's highly motivated and hard working!!
Training Pay: $180 per day
Driver Pay (local): $220 per day
Driver Pay (traveling): $22.50 an hour with overtime plus additional per stop bonuses
Driver Bonus (traveling): $175-$660 extra per week based on total number of completed delivery and pickup stops
**We operate 7 days a week and have a rotating schedule so weekend shifts will be assigned from time to time and are mandatory.
**Delivery routes vary in number of pick-ups & deliveries, but route expectations are set for a full day of work
**This is a full time year round delivery driver position
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform daily pre & post trip inspection on delivery vehicle
- Efficiently load, pack and organize vehicle for deliveries
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain appropriate communication with the on-duty managers
- Accurately operate scanner/effectively track delivery progress
- Consistently deliver entire route in a timely manner
- Have full knowledge of & abide by safety guidelines at all times
Required Qualifications:
- Be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record (including no cell phone citations or DWI convictions)
- No speeding ticket in excess of 15 MPH over the posted speed limit
- Ability to pass a drug test & DOT physical
- Ability to complete/pass a road test
- Ability to read, write & speak English
- Be of legal status to work in the United States (confirmed by E-Verify system)
- Ability to adapt to meet customer needs with a polite and professional disposition
- Ability to pass FedEx Ground approval process to become a qualified delivery driver
- Ability to arrive on site at terminal in a timely manner ready to work each work day
Required Physical Qualifications:
- Ability to safely lift/carry up to 150 lbs with a hand truck
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work when it gets dark
- Ability to continually walk at steady pace
