The opportunity
The Boeing MQ-28A is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage in airborne missions. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years. Enabled by autonomous capabilities, the aircraft will fly alongside other platforms to team with existing crewed and uncrewed assets.
We are seeking a talented individual with experience in military aircraft sustainment and analysis to join the program as our MQ-28A Product Support Technical Assessor. As the MQ-28A, the successful applicant will liaise directly with the customer, and Boeing Maintenance, Engineering and Supply teams to provide technical assessment for sustainment support of MQ-28A operations.
Responsibilities for this role include to deliver logistics and technical support as directed by the MQ-28A Operations Support Manager, provide technical advice to Engineering and Supply chain personnel in relation to Statements of work and other recommended orders within. You will be required to action requests for information from Defence for MQ-28A supportability, including Part Numbers, alternates and equivalents, Technical Data validation, CoC's Tech inspections. This will have a knock-on effect to ERP and cMRO data remediation.
Transfer skills and knowledge to others within the Product Support capability through the sharing of ideas, information and experiences. Seek opportunities for professional development and support the contributions of others.
Responsibilities of this role
Action weekly Technical Assessor duties including:
- Aeronautical product technical data analysis relating to new items for MQ-28A configurations.
- Process data amendments/corrections within Commonwealth Logistics Applications and Boeing applications for enterprise resource planning (ERP).
- Action routine Technical Substitution and undertake amendments as required.
- Action identification and logistics requirements for Modifications.
- Provide interrogations and interpretations of engineering technical drawings and specifications.
- Action unscheduled maintenance on the Hazard Materials List.
- Action unscheduled reviews of Computer Aided Maintenance Management 2 (CAMM2) transaction for specific inventory items.
- Review and analyse Aeronautical Defect and Deficiency Reports.
- Review and action applicable Business Process Management, Material Process Management Reports and Data Correctness Reports within 3DX.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrated experience with a minimum three years as a Defence Aviation Technical Assessor in maintenance and/or logistics.
- Demonstrated experience with a minimum three years using Defence logistic and maintenance data tool sets.
- Ability to easily integrate into established teams and work within an inclusive environment
- NV1 clearance, or the ability to obtain one
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with a Systems Program Office (SPO) environment.
- Demonstrated ability using approved Defence tools such as CAMM2/MILIS/ERP/CMRO
