THE WORK
As the Sr. Materials Planner for the Dynamic Components Product Center, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Transmission Assembly. This includes ensuring materials and resources are effectively planned, scheduled, and managed to maintain a seamless production process. You'll oversee material movement, production schedules, and inventory management to ensure that every component is ready to meet critical deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating material flow between the warehouse/storeroom and production areas.
Advising leadership on the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production challenges.
Collaborating with shop supervision to align equipment, personnel, and priorities with production goals.
Preparing work orders or purchase requests to meet material supply and demand requirements.
Facilitating interdepartmental activities across programs, quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and inventory control.
Scheduling and expediting parts movement via move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience with SAP/Solumina.
Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience within operations / shop floor manufacturing environment.
Desired Skills:
Strong communication skills / willingness and ability to run meetings.
Previous Sikorsky Operations Experience
Experience working in a union environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
