JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Program Manager will be an exempt employee responsible for the day-to-day operation, scheduling all officers’ time into payroll, conducting random/scheduled post checks, acting as a liaison between officers and PM, and having oversight of staff hiring, clearances, and suitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- The APM is the 2nd in command on the NIH award. The APM will make decisions and act on behalf of the PM during the PM’s absence and manage all security aspects on the contract.
- He/she will interface with all designated government representatives at all locations where contract guards are assigned, as well as, with members of the Division of Police, physical security personnel, and NIH stakeholders.
- He/she will ensure, from an operational standpoint, the contractor is enhancing the contractor’s ability to satisfy the mission at the NIH.
- The APM shall meet all the specified award requirements for the PM category stated above.
- Be knowledgeable of the NIH award for award compliance.
- Provide direction and supervision to the supervisors.
- Develop and implement procedures to deal with emergency staffing requests.
- Visit each site, on a regular basis, documenting any deficiencies found and immediately institute a corrective action plan to be shared with the FAC-COR.
- Respond to issues, concerns, or questions in a forthright and timely manner.
- Provide reports and other documentation to the government, as required or upon request.
- Perform the same duties as the Program Manager and other duties assigned by the Contract Officer and/or the FAC-COR.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have eight (8) years of specialized security experience and six (6) years (obtained within the last three (3) years) of management experience at a government facility or similar facility with a security force equivalent to, or at a minimum, half of the security guards assigned to this award.
- A two-year college degree in law enforcement or security management is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be able to pay full attention to detail and be able to multi-task.

- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Wage for this position is $90,000.
