Description:
Training Supervisors are responsible for the daily oversight of staff and facilities, delivery and facilitation of Airstreams Renewables, Inc. (ARI) curriculum, instructor development, records maintenance, and placement services. Training Supervisors interact directly with ARI leadership, corporate staff, peer supervisors, outside agencies and students. Excellent people skills, the ability to solve complex issues, and flexibility are key to overall success in this position. This includes team building, employee professional development, fostering industry employer relationships, classroom instruction, practical applications, and conducting assessments. Training Supervisors are involved in the updating, revision, and implementation of curriculum following established company guidelines. They may be required to travel at times to meet company goals and objectives.
Requirements:
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversees facilities and performance of onsite direct report Operations personnel.
- Employs critical thinking and problem-solving processes to achieve a favorable outcome for overall ARI success.
- Oversees training activities and student placement operations to ensure all safety, quality, records retention, maintenance, inspection, and placement standards are adhered to per ARI policy.
- Oversees and mentors staff development, deconfliction, and adherence to instructor and classroom training schedules per ARI policy.
- Leads and mentors Lead Training Specialists (LTSs) in the development and implementation of the instructor development process per ARI policy.
- Coordinates support with staff in the daily training activities, including staffing, equipment, supplies and facility condition.
- Oversees and assists in the ongoing professional development for Training Administrative Managers (TAMs) and Career Service Specialists
- Responsible for annual performance evaluations of direct report staff
- Serves as hiring manager for new staff members.
- Demonstrates success in teambuilding, and recommends necessary structure changes to better support ARI's training program and overall success.
- Receives and compiles feedback from Training Specialists, TAMs and Career Service Specialists to provide weekly summary report updates to the Regional Director and VP of Operations
- Receives and reviews course and instructor feedback from all students and address issues as needed and maintain student satisfaction ratings of 4.0 or higher in all categories.
- Works closely with Career Services Specialists to foster relationships with industry partners to ensure the continuation and relevancy of training and enhance student placement opportunities.
- Assists Career Service Specialists in coordinating onsite or remote visits and recruiting events.
- Interfaces with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure ARI quality and standardization of training.
- Coordinates and provides support to other CSP sites for staffing as needed.
- Coordinates with Industry Training regarding Training Specialist development.
- Establishes and maintains open lines of communications with installation leadership and education center staff.
- Ensures open communication channels with campus staff, Vice President of Operations, Operations Directors, and other training locations as necessary.
- Delivers and facilitates ARI-approved safety, technical, and skills curriculum utilizing ARI Instructional Theory and classroom visual/audio equipment while managing class time.
- Follows all ARI policies and procedures.
- Travels as needed and directed to meet company goals and objectives.
- Ensures a safe environment for all ARI staff and students according to OSHA guidance and ARI policy.
- Fosters team development to maintain training schedules and cohesion.

- Ability to climb and descend up to 300' in height as needed and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
- Perform office and computer work for extended periods of time with experience in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven senior leadership experience.
- Experience leading diverse teams.
- Minimum of three years in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience in administrative and recruiting functions.
- Familiar with the scope and direction outlined in the ARI curriculum.
- Advanced certification through Red Cross, OSHA, crane rigging and signalperson.
- Previous success in an adult learning environment using pedagogical theories.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Required: Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Required: Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background and motor vehicle record check.
- Required: Legal ability to work in the United States, ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and maintain a drug-free status.
- Preferred: ARI Graduate with relevant industry experience.
