DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Principal IT Business Analyst to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology IN Troy, MI.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Defining Business Success : Collaborate with business leaders to clearly define and document what constitutes success for large or complex initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Cross-Organizational Coordination : Work as part of a team to manage project definition and documentation for initiatives that span multiple organizations, fostering collaboration and consistency.
- Leading Analysts : Guide a team of analysts to elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements across various aspects (process, information, event, socio-political, and location), ensuring comprehensive coverage for complex initiatives.
- Managing Requirements : Lead the activities related to requirements management, including the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of non-functional business requirements, ensuring they meet business needs.
- Change Impact Analysis : Analyze and communicate the impact of changes within or between organizations, ensuring all stakeholders understand and approve the changes, thus minimizing disruption.
- Solution Validation : Conduct solution assessment and validation to ensure that both functional and technical specifications meet the identified business needs, maintaining high standards of quality and relevance.
- Problem Resolution : Address complex problems and provide resolutions, acting as a point of escalation for non-routine issues, thereby ensuring smooth project progression.
- Mentorship and Relationship Building : Develop and maintain positive relationships with business leaders and other functions, coach and mentor less experienced business analysts, and use Business Relationship Management practices to deliver business value.

- Problem Solving : Use systematic analysis processes to solve problems, mentor others on effective problem-solving, and implement robust, data-based solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Valuing Differences : Recognize and appreciate the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to the organization.
- Business Need Definition : Define the business outcomes that proposed work will provide, using the Business Analysis Toolkit to justify the investment of resources.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Significant relevant experience required. 5-7 years of experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years of work experience in with Oracle Applications R12 Financial modules.
- Exposure to downstream modules, Order Management and Inventory preferred.
- EDI experience is preferred.
- 4 -6 years of project management experience utilizing standard project planning/ management tools, and knowledge in project management and control.
- Thorough understanding of Finance business processes in a global Finance environment. Practical working experience preferred.
- Proficiency with SQL based queries preferred
- Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines
