Position Summary:

As a Collision Repair Tool Coordinator for the Tool Management team, working out of Penske's Technology & Education Center, you will be empowered to perform the research, design, and evaluation of Collision Repair Equipment & Tools. You will interact daily with other team members within Maintenance & Design, Collision Repair and Out Service Centers to identify areas of improvement that support Penske Collision Repair centers. Your success will make a positive impact on our collision repair centers operations, Technicians, Supervisors and Managers that contribute to the overall success of the business.
You will interact daily with tool manufacturers to provide feedback from testing results and recommendations for continuous improvement. In addition, you will identify areas where tooling and equipment must be standardized or does not exist today for Penske. Along with that, you will assist in projects to develop repair procedures that promote safety, productivity, and proficiency for our technicians and operations staff. As new tools and equipment are approved and launches, you will assist with training by collaborating with the Maintenance & Engineering, Collision Repair, Reliability and Technical Training Teams to drive continuous improvement and ongoing maintenance of resources and systems. Penske tooling and equipment enables our world-class technicians and customer service representatives to perform quality collision repairs on 400,000+ vehicles. Major Responsibilities:
Coordinates and performs research, design, and testing of Collision Repair Tooling.
Monitors and assist with development of Collision repair policies and procedures.
Works with suppliers to identify new Collision repair practices and procedures.
Assists in projects to develop repair procedures that promote safety, productivity and proficiency involving tools and equipment.
Assists with training of tool functionality, general maintenance, and repair with other teams.
General Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Automotive / Heavy Duty Technology, Mechanical or Electronics Engineering, Analytics and/or Project Management. If no degree, equivalent work experience is required.
3 years in a Collision Repair position with a focus on Light, Medium, and Heavy-Duty applications, chassis and box repair background preferred.
1 year of Mechanical or Electronics Engineering preferred.
Excellent organization, customer service and communication skills.
Experiencing using tools of the trade (Including computers, tablets, cellular devices, hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment, etc.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications (Including Outlook, Teams, Smartsheet and Salesforce, etc)
Regular, Predictable, full-time attendance is an essential function of this job.
Willingness to travel as necessary (25%), work the required schedule, work at the specific location, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background screening (to include criminal checks, past employment, and education) and pass a drug screening.

Given the frequent movement of large trucks through the workplace, the associate must be able to see and hear in order to safely navigate the work environment.
The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
