Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support our operations in finance, human resources, health and safety, information technology, planning, and more. Our flexible work program allows employees to work virtually as well as come together in person when needed at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. Employees can work remotely from most states in the U.S., with the exception of California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the position shift to in-person (office/site) work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time, so long as the position meets the established eligibility for these benefits.
Description
Responsible for the development and implementation of learning, assessment and career programs for the Health and Safety Organization.
- Direct and support H&S Learning Frameworks staff. Inspect projects in progress and upon completion to ensure quality of work. Identify development needs and provide resources. Regularly engage in performance reviews.
- Develop, prioritize, plan, and coordinate the work for assigned projects and responsibilities, which may include but is not limited to project management, cost estimates and program development.
- Ensure that Health and Safety learning programs are professionally designed, evaluated and delivered in a wide range of applications in order to meet Freeport-McMoRan employee development needs and quality standards.
- Ensure that all training and assessment schedules are designed and implemented in such a way as to ensure that programs are delivered to meet strategic targets and customer requirements.
- Work with Manager of H&S Learning Frameworks to establish long-term and short-term department goals. Demonstrate accountability for outcomes by regularly monitoring and reporting status and continuously directing staff toward achieving expected results.
- Oversee and recommend the selection of key staff. Participate in interview, selection, on-boarding, and performance management processes.
- Provide customers with competent advice and support regarding H&S Learning Frameworks services and products. Strive to meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Ensure all participant learning and assessment data/results are accurately recorded and reported so that participant records are consistently kept up-to-date
- Establish and maintain alignment between H&S Learning Frameworks and other interrelated processes including but not limited to Career Development Program (CDP), Performance Management, and Health & Safety University
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Leading or supervising personnel and/or projects AND
- High School Diploma or GED and nine (9) years of experience in Health & Safety or related, OR
- Associates degree and seven (7) years of experience in Health & Safety or related, OR
- Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience in Health & Safety or related, OR
- Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience in Health & Safety or related
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Change Management
- Project Management experience with the ability to collaborate with Stakeholders at all levels
- Developing champions in the field
Criteria/Conditions:
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
- Travel up to 50% of the time
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $93,000-$130,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
