POSITION: Microsoft Office 365 Junior Systems Administrator
LOCATION: Washington, DC
CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 Months
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support to end-users for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
- Troubleshoot and resolve client-side issues related to Microsoft 365, handling escalations from OctoHelps and ensuring efficient resolution of tickets.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior administrators and relevant IT staff as needed.
- Perform bulk activations, user setup, and license assignments within the Microsoft 365 admin center to support user onboarding and maintenance.
- Collaborate with senior administrators and IT team members to implement best practices, improve support processes, and enhance the overall user experience.
- Develop and deliver user training on Microsoft 365 features, creating documentation to help end-users maximize the platform’s capabilities.
- Actively monitor and report on system performance, security, and user issues, identifying and resolving potential problems proactively.
- Support endpoint management using various Mobile Device Management (MDM) services such as Workspace One and Intune.
Qualifications:
- Well-versed in Microsoft 365 administration and services, with at least 3 years of experience.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting Microsoft Office suite and account creation in Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
- Hands-on experience with Azure AD Connect, managing Exchange, and Active Directory permissions for user mailboxes, shared mailboxes, and public folders.
- Expertise in supporting Microsoft Office 2010, 2013, and 2016, as well as Windows OS versions 7, 8, 10, and 11.
- Ability to troubleshoot Outlook client connectivity issues and resolve email delivery and routing problems.
- Expert-level customer service and client-facing experience with Office 365.
- Experience supporting and training end-users on Outlook 2010, 2013, and 2016 and configuring these versions for new Office 365 services.
- Strong working knowledge of Outlook 2013, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and other Microsoft 365 online services.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Required).
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (Required).
