ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage, supervise, coach, and train maintenance technicians in performance of their duties to ensure compliance with quality procedures, safety regulations, and production requirements. Ensure proper documentation practices are followed by direct reports.
Establish preventive maintenance program(s) to minimize downtime due to equipment failure. Maintain accurate records of PM completion status for each piece of equipment.
Coordinate with Production Manager to schedule maintenance activities during production runs to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on automated manufacturing equipment. Determine root cause of failures and recommend corrective actions.
Develop specifications for new equipment purchases to ensure they meet current and future needs of the manufacturing process.
Assist Engineering department in designing equipment modifications to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
Monitor energy consumption within the plant and implement energy conservation initiatives.
Conduct regular inspections of the manufacturing floor to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support Lean Six Sigma projects as a subject matter expert or team member.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Experience:
Forklift driving experience preferred.
At least three years’ experience in automated manufacturing environment required.
Experience with pharmaceutical or medical device industry preferred.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities (KSA’s):
Knowledgeable in SAP.
Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
Previous leadership/supervisory experience desired.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Knowledge of automation control systems, robotics, PLC programming, and vision systems.
