Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.
Job Summary
Carpenter Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising a team of carpenters in the completion of construction projects. The foreman must ensure the job is completed on time and within budget, while adhering to all safety and quality standards. The foreman must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to motivate and lead a team of workers. Duties include overseeing the work of assigned personnel, ordering materials and supplies, and scheduling work assignments. The foreman must also be able to read and interpret blueprints and use a variety of tools and equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist the General Foreman by providing input to identify key success factors for Carpentry crew.
Provide leadership to cause the creation of organizational structure and processes required to fully execute the requirements of services and is responsible for the execution of Carpentry services, quality, subcontractor performance, and construction cost.
Evaluate Carpentry service execution for compliance to contract, design data, schedule, cost budgets, and quality, advising the project team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors on to go" scope.
Maintain the short range look ahead plans and discusses all deviations with the General Foreman.
Review and monitor cost and man-hour budget for installation process develops an equipment and tool requirement plan and reviews it with the General Foreman.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in construction management or related field is preferred.
Requires at least 5 years as a Carpenter.
Requires at least 2 years of Leadership, Supervisory, or Management experience.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Requires the ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of all relevant safety standards related to area of responsibility required.
Requires a valid driver's license. A level of English proficiency in accordance with the position

Be efficient; detailed-oriented with excellent work ethics.
Familiar with often changing deadlines, inquiries and related pressures and able to handle multiple tasks
Familiar with structures locations in CBS
Familiar with PMI procedures (field work and paper work pertaining PMI)
