Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Direct Care Worker to provide assistance with activities of daily living.
We are looking for a part time caregiver to care for a 60 year old male Veteran for up to 13 hours per week. This individual is looking for a day shift, 2-3 days per week. He is verbal and mobile, needs assistance bathing and some assistance when ambulating.

Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance to assigned consumers including, but not limited to the following:

- Assistance with activities of daily living
- Assisting with ambulation, as applicable
- Assistance with nutritional and dietary needs
- Essential household duties
- Provide for safe and sanitary consumer environment
- Utilize basic infection control technique and procedures
- Provide medication reminders as directed by the Service Authorization and/or Care Plan
- Maintain consumer confidentiality
- Encourage consumer control of and promote the independent living philosophy
Requirements:
- Proficiency in the English language is required
- Successful completion of the Direct Care Worker Competency orientation process required
- Current CPR Card required
- Current Health Screening (in accordance with state regulations) required
