Scope
We’re looking for a resourceful and dynamic in-house Salesforce Administrator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in workflow automation, reporting, and user permissions, and will play a key role in managing automation processes, generating custom reports, and ensuring accurate user access across the organization. With a solid technical background in Salesforce tools and data management, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, adapt solutions as business needs evolve, and provide training and support to ensure the effective use of Salesforce. This is not a remote position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal performance of Salesforce systems and products on a day-to-day basis.
- Create, manage, and maintain user profiles, roles, and permission sets in Salesforce to ensure proper access control and data security. Assign appropriate permissions to users based on job functions and ensure compliance with organizational security policies. Regularly review and update user access to accommodate role changes and ensure least privilege access principles.
- Design and generate custom reports and dashboards in Salesforce to provide actionable insights, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and support data-driven decision-making across teams. Ensure reports are tailored to meet business needs and provide regular updates and enhancements as requirements evolve.
- Design, create, and manage custom workflows using Salesforce tools such as Workflow Rules, Process Builder, and Flow Builder to automate business processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual tasks. Regularly evaluate and optimize workflows to ensure they align with evolving business requirements and deliver consistent results across departments.
- Perform database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing.
- Configure security controls such as IP range restrictions, login hours, and login security policies to limit where and when users can access Salesforce.
- Perform regular audits of user access to ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Track and report on system login attempts, including unsuccessful login attempts, to identify potential security threats.
- Evaluate and install new Salesforce releases, as well as providing training and support.
- Document processes, including error reports and changes to field history tables.
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Administration, including managing user access, security settings, and profiles.
- 2+ years of experience in Salesforce Administration, with a strong focus on workflow automation (including Workflow Rules, Process Builder, Flow Builder, and Approval Processes).
- Marketing Cloud experience preferred.
- Expertise in configuring Field-Level Security, Permission Sets, Profiles, and Roles to manage access controls.
- Experience with Salesforce Object Model, including custom objects, relationships (master-detail, lookup), and fields required to design and optimize reports and workflows.
- Familiarity with Apex triggers and custom solutions.
- Ability to integrate Salesforce with third-party tools and systems for reporting and workflow automation (e.g., using Salesforce APIs, AppExchange apps, or custom integration tools).
- Strong project management skills to lead and execute initiatives within the Salesforce environment.
- Knowledge of Salesforce reporting features, including summary reports, matrix reports, joined reports, and custom report types.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and IT, to understand reporting needs and automate business processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to workflow automation, reporting, or data discrepancies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide Salesforce training and end-user support.
