Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be the face of our company during each delivery. A strong understanding of route driving and the ability to handle heavy lifting is essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles, including vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and recipients.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Assist with moving items as needed within the warehouse or delivery locations.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in route driving or commercial driving preferred.
- Familiarity with using a pallet jack and handling heavy lifting tasks.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is a plus.
- Must be able to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) regularly throughout the shift.
