Job Description
The ideal candidate:
- Will be familiar with reviewing architectural drawings and symbols
- Have an understanding of the security/data/voice communications industry
- Understand the submittal and contracting process
- Have strong computer skills (word, excel, outlook, take off software etc...)
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Be extremely well organized
- Able to communicate effectively on the phone, in person and through email
The requirements of this position are:
Maintain a bid tracker for the department
Download plans and specifications
Review specifications and ensure compliance
Perform takeoffs on plans
Walk new projects with customers and prospective customers
Work with distribution on pricing and availability
Track bids sent to various customers and contractors
Compile bid information
Complete submittal process
Complete O&M Manuals
Coordinate with operations team on projects
Work with field personnel to produce change orders and RFIs
Timely submission and tracking of change orders
Follow up on bid submitted. Gather bid tabs and competitive information
Work directly with Manager to ensure all scope is defined and prepared
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to work on their own using logical problem solving processes, is organized and efficient and is able to switch from one task to another quickly.
A current driver's license, clean driving record, and dependable transportation are necessary.
We do perform a background and drug screening. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
