The IT Manager Data and Information Management role manages and/or leads a team of technology Data Analysts /
Data Specialists responsible for the build, design, development, testing, execution and quality assurance of Data /
Information Management solutions. This role ensures effective integration and processes are in place across RACA for Platforms & Technology Governance org. The role is also a technical expert with a specialized data management field responsible for providing team leadership and building out Data / Information organizational capabilities. As well, this role provides technical leadership across a broad range of data analysis functions including data modeling, structured query language (SQL), data quality, data profiling, extract-transform load (ETL), metadata enrichment and management, data provenance and lineage, report design and other specialized data management functions. Here's some of what this role may be asked to perform:
- Build, oversee and manage divervse team of data / information management Analysts / Specialists and related operations, and set team goals / objectives in alignment with overall Business strategies
- Manage the team in driving out the technology strategic roadmap, including the introduction of big data technologies, advanced analytics, data modeling and other capabilities that will deliver meaningful data analytics
- Oversee the delivery of data products in report / presentation format to specifications and timeline in alignment with overall business data governance/information management strategies
- Responsible for ongoing data sourcing and management (e.g. quality assurance, analysis, and the production and distribution of Management Information)
- Build Information as a Service capability and implement the Information Excellence capabilities defined by Enterprise Architecture.
- Make data consumption on-demand and transparent and provide fit for purpose services ? reports, analytics, model and data Significantly reduce the cost per consumption of data while improving quality
- Build strong relationship with ITS, Architecture, P&T Protect, P&T Governance and work in partnership to develop leading edge technology solutions with a special focus in the Big Data space
- Accountable for the development, adoption and ongoing evolution of a best-in-class reporting and/or BI capability and may deliver on ad-hoc projects as assigned.
- Lead the implementation of initiatives in support of overall business/function strategy
- Conduct analysis to provide enhanced BI to inform management leadership team at the functional or enterprise level
- Deliver complex and comprehensive BI reporting packages and dashboards utilizing data infrastructure, localized datamarts and external data sources
- Primary subject matter expert in multiple areas and consults with clients/or project teams with respect to all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware/ software support and/or development of technical solutions
- Works autonomously as a senior/lead on a diverse range of tasks and is relied upon to coach/ educate others
- Proficiency in Atlassian Confluence, including a strong understanding of spaces, templates, macros, and permissions. Develop web applications and user interfaces using React, HTML, and CSS, ensuring a responsive and seamless user experience. Integrate Confluence with other Atlassian products and thirdparty applications as needed for seamless workflow.
- Responsible for tracking and managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Operational Metrics, and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to measure and drive organizational performance. This role plays a pivotal part in establishing a data-driven culture and ensuring that strategic and operational goals are achieved.
- Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to support data-driven decision-making within the organization. This position ensures collecting and transforming data into actionable insights, providing valuable information for various departments and business strategies.
- This role involves translating complex data and information into clear, concise, and impactful visual presentations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to integrate data, charts, graphs, and written content into presentations, simplifying complex concepts for a diverse audience.
- Responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining high-quality, visually compelling PowerPoint presentations and reports for use in corporate communications, executive briefings, and partners presentations.
