Job Description:
Electronics Technician Maintenance III
The test technician will be responsible for the execution and documentation of various electromagnetic interference/compatibility (EMI/EMC), power quality, and diverse radio frequency (RF) test activities alongside experienced professionals for a multitude of systems. The technician will also support niche fields related to this position. The opening is for a technician with a highly inquisitive desire to develop technical expertise and contribute broadscale to the Warfighter. On-site training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Conduct testing on DoD systems and subsystems to a multitude of military standards such as MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and MIL-STD-1399.
- Interface clearly and professionally with various customers during testing
- Maintain lab schedules and perpetually increase testing efficiency
- Safely and precisely operate specialized electronic testing equipment
- Interpret and create data in graphical or other forms of analyses
- Keep a clean and organized lab space
- Draft and maintain test documentation and data files
- Assist with managing test equipment calibration schedules
- Perform shipping, receiving and warehouse functions as required
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed
- Complete yearly training as directed for general employment
Qualifications
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- Ability to obtain a US DOD Secret Security Clearance
- Current or prior experience performing EMI/EMC testing
- Current or prior experience performing EMI test procedures and preparing test reports
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe products
- Ability to obtain, possess and maintain a SECRET clearance
- Must be a US citizen

- Self-motivated individual eager to support many technical responsibilities with respect to testing, reporting and interfacing with a multitude of individuals with varied expertise
- Detail-oriented with a drive to constantly learn new system architectures, review interconnect drawings and develop test approaches
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exposure to radio frequency (RF) operations and or MIL-STD Testing
- Experience with electronic lab equipment to include but not limited to: oscilloscopes, multimeters, antennas, receivers and RF amplifiers
- Experience supporting DoD programs
- Experience with hand and power tools, cable fabrication and general safety in the presence of high voltage equipment
- Coding proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C++ or similar

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.56 - $35.94. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
