At Schwab, the Liquidity Technology team is responsible for supporting the regulatory reporting, metrics, and analysis of the Liquidity needs of the firm. This is a critical part of the firm’s health so you will be working on essential applications that play a key part in the day-to-day compliance with Federal regulations. This includes applications that source data from various internal and external sources, translate disparate data into a common domain model, calculate near real-time liquidity numbers, and display results and reporting on a UI.
You will be working on application teams supporting the Intraday Liquidity and Cash Management for the firm, which are key high-profile business needs. You will be developing enterprise grade services and databases that can provide reliable, near real-time data pull from internal and external sources. You will also be helping to build a calculation engine and accompanying UI to help Cash Management understand the current liquidity picture to aid in making critical decisions. Expect to collaborate with architects, fellow developers, BSAs, and business partners to build out a very exciting solution to a key problem.
What you have
Required Qualifications:
* A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field -OR- 5+ years in a software development role.
* Experience with full stack application development technologies using Java 17, Spring Framework, Angular, REST Web Services, JSON/XML and relational databases and data warehouses.
* A strong knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud-ready architecture best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
* A familiarity with automating CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Bamboo, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Veracode.
* A eye for writing clean testable code and baking quality into the entire SDLC, from until testing through end-to-end QA automation.
* The ability to effectively interact and collaborate with all types of stakeholders, both technical and business, peers, and leaders.
* Working with tech leads, business partners, product owner, and BSAs to help define requirements and contribute to growing system knowledge
* Understanding complex user requests and clarifying and communicating the objectives in a clear and concise manner.
* Knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly liquidity and cash movement.
