Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Microsoft 365 Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization’s Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user support. The Microsoft 365 Administrator will work closely with other IT teams to implement best practices for cloud collaboration tools, user management, and data security.
Key Responsibilities
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune).
- Perform user and group management tasks, including account creation, license management, and role assignments.
- Configure and manage security and compliance policies, including data loss prevention (DLP), retention policies, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Monitor and maintain system performance, applying updates, patches, and troubleshooting system issues as needed.
- Administer Microsoft Teams for chat, meetings, and collaboration, including managing Teams setup, settings, and policies.
- Manage SharePoint and OneDrive environments, ensuring proper configuration and access control.
- Security & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Configure and enforce Microsoft 365 security features, including conditional access policies, identity protection, and encryption settings.
- Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot security alerts and audit logs.
- Conduct regular security assessments and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization's Microsoft 365 environment.
- Troubleshooting & Support
- Provide technical support for end-users, troubleshooting Microsoft 365-related issues and resolving incidents efficiently.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex user or system issues and work closely with Microsoft support when necessary.
- Collaboration & Project Support
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Microsoft 365 services with other business systems.
- Assist with projects related to the implementation of new Microsoft 365 features or cloud-based solutions.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration or a related role.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 services.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
- Experience with storage (Pure and NetApp), Hyper-V, backups(Veeam), IIS, Active Directory, or Linux(Debian and Red Hat variants) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and administration.
- Proficiency in PowerShell for Microsoft 365 administration.
- Familiarity with hybrid environments (on-premises AD/Exchange and cloud solutions).
- Knowledge of networking, cloud security practices, and identity management.
- Problem-Solving:
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Communication:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Customer service-oriented with an ability to handle user support requests with professionalism.
Working Conditions
- Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. After hours as needed.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
