This is a full-time, remote, W2 position. Preference is given to candidates in Texas. We cannot sponsor visas or hire outside of the U.S.
LeapFrogBI is a full-service, business intelligence firm specializing in fully outsourced business intelligence & data warehousing solutions. We are based in Austin, TX.
We are growing and looking for a senior developer with 5+ years of full stack SQL Server and Power BI experience, consulting experience, and sharp SSIS skills to join us in our mission to bring data-driven decision making to small and mid-market companies. Looking for someone with experience in:
- SQL Server database engine: comfortable building, maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting.
- Data warehousing; experience with dimensional modeling. Able to convert business requirements into capable dimensional models.
- Power BI: experience building semantic models, reports, dashboards, and apps.
- SQL Server Integration Services: experience building packages for various data integration purposes.
- Reporting Services: experience building paginated reports either in SSRS or Power BI.
- Consulting: experience working with multiple clients and managing workloads. Familiar with task tracking using Kanban board. Comfortable with reporting billable hours daily.
Required Skills:
- Strong T-SQL skills; 5+ years
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal
- A strong work ethic, professional demeanor, positive attitude, desire to learn, and ability to exhibit grace under pressure
- Advanced critical thinking ability; comfortable solving new problems routinely
- Solid understanding of dimensional data modeling (Kimball method)
- SQL Server database administration skills
- Strong skills with Power BI
- Business analyst, semantic layer development and report authoring skills
