KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Infrastructure Project Advisory (Rail) in Infrastructure and Projects Advisory for our Deal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a project and team leader on large-scale rail and transit infrastructure projects; advise clients on the development and evaluation of capital project/program funding and financing and project delivery strategies including alternative project delivery
- Provide project and program management assistance to clients and project teams on large projects; drive meetings with clients as well as interested third parties
- Lead development of strategy, financial, project delivery, business planning, funding, procurement, policy analysis and recommendations for clients; manage development of key work products, including briefing memoranda, notes, reports, presentations, or financial analysis
- Act as the lead contact in building relationships and marketing firm services to selected target clients in rail and transit space while leading and supporting the preparation of strategic advisory proposals to target clients
- Develop and mentor team members at the staff and intern levels; participate in conferences and other marketing initiatives
- Assist practice leadership in recruiting, training, and mentoring Infrastructure team resources
Qualifications:
- Minimum eight years of recent work experience in rail and transit industry with capital projects, government agencies, transportation asset management, or infrastructure development, including five years of experience in an advisory consulting environment
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate field
- Experience with management of rail and transit transportation asset portfolios including the understanding of governmental transportation funding, financing, and budgeting at a Federal, State and local level; applied experience in conducting effective analysis on infrastructure projects and programs from a financial, economic, and leading practice perspective
- Effective organization and time management skills with capacity to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
- Strong work initiative, high energy level and the capability to adapt to new challenges and ideas; able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment; passion for infrastructure work with proven ability to lead teams, projects, and programs
- Willingness and ability to travel
