Open Positions:
1 Middle School DLC - this classroom provides support to students with multi handicaps. There might be toileting, tube feeding, OT/PT~ highly staffed 10-15 assistants. Caseload 12-14
1 Middle School LRC - Support reading, math, social skills~ push in or pull out ( these would be support classes) caseload 30
1 Elementary LRC - Title one school; one of two teachers. Caseload 25.
3 Behavior Intervention Center (Mental Health Facility) - These would need to be special education teachers who have had a high level of behavioral training and trauma informed practices.
Must have, or be willing, to get OR Special Education Certification.
Very supportive school, community, and parents.
Contract is for the school year!

Job Summary
Republic Educational Services, a division of Republic Health Resources, is seeking compassionate Special Education Teachers, to join our school in Salem, OR. The Special Ed Teachers will work collaboratively with school leadership, students, parents, teachers, and school support staff to help our students achieve the highest degree of academic, emotional, and behavioral success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction in various subjects, including Math and Language Arts
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to support student progress
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students with autism, developmental disabilities, and other challenges
- Administer and interpret standardized tests to assess student learning and progress
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Oregon certification in Special Education, or willingness to apply.
- Experience working with students with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs - including behavioral issues.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Previous experience in an educational setting is beneficial
