Summary: Using independent judgment and decision-making, supervises a team of test technicians to test and evaluate Commercial and Space Product electro-mechanical devices. |
Duties and Responsibilities: - Schedules all tests and test related activities included subcontracted tests.
- Supervises all Commercial and Hi-Rel Test Technicians
- Oversees a variety of functions involving electrical and electronic test procedures and equipment throughout the plant. Including: Vibration testing, High Power RF testing and operation of vacuum chambers in environmental lab.
- Supervises the setup of electronic tests as needed. Tests prototype, pre-production RF relays.
- Maintains both Quality Assurance and production electronic test equipment and related records.
- Interfaces with engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, suppliers and customers as required regarding test and test related functions.
- Provides technical advice to Quality Assurance and Production personnel as needed.
- Supervises the maintenance and calibration of electrical and electronic test equipment and maintains appropriate records.
- Creates Labview programs, drawings for test procedures and drawings for adapter cables
- Designs and builds electronic test equipment. Works from drawings, specifications, layouts, blueprints or verbal instructions.
- Works independently from concepts and/or brief instructions.
- Performs replacement operations as required.
- May install and/or relocate test equipment as required
- Travel to outside test facilities to perform required tests as needed.
Supervision: Supervises a team of Commercial and Hi-Reliability test technicians. |
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: - Minimum 2 years relevant college or trade school course work plus a minimum of 5 years relevant job experience (engineering, electronics, test and / or supervision).
- Extensive knowledge of RF measurements from DC to 75 GHz.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental test equipment; thermal, thermal vacuum, shock and vibration.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel in particular.
- Familiar with LabView, programming a plus.
- Ability to generate / interpret engineering drawings, process specifications, test procedures and schematics.
- Ability to perform hands-on RF, electrical and environmental tests.
- Ability to communicate cross-functionally and prioritize
- Three to five years operational experience in all phases of departmental responsibility.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.

Work Arrangement : Onsite
Salary Range : $90,000.00 - $120,000.00
