Job Summary
Republic Educational Services, a division of Republic Health Resources, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our school in Plaistow, NH. In this role, you will work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and support staff to help students achieve academic, emotional, and behavioral success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide specialized instruction in subjects such as Life Skills
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment through effective classroom management techniques.
- Collaborate with school leadership, therapists, and parents to support student development.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of students with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges.
- Administer and interpret assessments to evaluate and track student progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- New Hampshire certification in Special Education (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Experience working with students with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Prior experience in an educational setting is a plus.
