Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a Hybrid position that will based out of our Mine Office Location in Tucson, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. Occasionally, you may be required to attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration. In-person attendance may vary based on the position and department requirements.

Description
Lead and develop company-wide supervisor training programs focused on technical skill requirements for optimal business performance. Accountable and responsible for the implementation of training, assessment and improvement programs to a culturally diverse range of learners. Contribute to the department and overall division team efforts, demonstrating those behaviors that fully support technical training values, policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all learning programs are professionally designed, evaluated and delivered in a wide range of applications in order to meet Freeport-McMoRan employee development needs and quality standards.
- Ensure that all training programs include accepted principles of adult learning
- Ensure that all delivery and assessment schedules are designed and implemented in such a way as to ensure that programs are delivered to meet strategic targets and customer requirements.
- Implement all aspects of the company learning management system.
- Ensure all participant learning and assessment data/results are accurately recorded and reported so that participant records are consistently kept up-to-date and accurately recorded.
- Seek and respond to customer requests for training and assessments.
- Provide customers with competent advice and support regarding the wide range of technical training services and products in order to assist technical training to meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Adjust content and rates of delivery of learning programs to meet the expectations of customers
- Manage contracts associated with department training needs.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of directly related experience, including three (3) years as a supervisor or in a mid-level management role, OR
- Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years directly related experience, including three (3) years as a supervisor or in a mid-level management role OR
- Master’s degree and four (4) years directly related experience, including three (3) years as a supervisor or in a mid-level management role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- This position will focus on the Mine Operations side of our business. Candidate should have expertise in the safe and efficient operation of an open pit.
- Eight (8) years of experience in Mine Operations as Sr Supervisor or in mine leadership role.
- Prior experience either conducting training or supervising a training department.
- Previous experience serving as a mentor to others.
- A familiarity with the current technical supervisor development program
- Ability and desire to coach and develop others.
- Strong tactical skills with a strategic mind-set.
- Self-starter with the ability to collaborate and influence others.
Criteria/Conditions:
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $93,000-$130,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
