Description
Under limited supervision, oversee the physical facility and manage the operation of the Bagdad townsite.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the town of Bagdad to ensure quality and cost-effective town services and operations, including leadership of town functions and supervision of employees to include: Engineering, Facilities Maintenance, Utilities, Planning and Townsite Administration.
- Act as the key contact for residents, agencies, and FMI interaction with the town of Bagdad.
- Coordinate capital improvement programs for Bagdad by overseeing new development consistent with approved budgets.
- Enhance quality of physical and social environment by providing, sourcing and developing effective, cost effective and quality services for residents, employees and visitors.
- Prepare operating budgets and sustaining capital plans. Manage town programs, services and operations in adherence to approved budgets.
- Supervise company operated and subsidized commercial activities such as the store, Marathon gas station, Motel, Restaurants, etc. to ensure quality and cost-effective operations.
- Supervise company-operated utilities such the water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution systems as well as the Copper Market propane distribution system. Serve as company liaison with APS power.
- Act as the town representative and provide liaison as required for townsite administration with local, county government and civil authorities to ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with federal, state and local policies, procedures and regulations.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration or related field and at least seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the operation and management of facilities, operations, construction, project management or parks and recreation including previous supervisory or leadership experience, OR
- High School Diploma or GED and (11) eleven years of Townsite Operations experience
- Experience in the planning, development and management of capital improvement projects
- Valid AZ State Driver’s license
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Requires competency in use of MS Office software
- Knowledge of budget preparation, monitoring, and administration
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative manner with diverse teams or groups of individuals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hospitality management or the customer service industry at a management level
- Real estate, construction, and project development experience
- Experience with water, wastewater and gas delivery systems
- Experience managing and maintenance of community recreation and fulfillment facilities
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $107,000-$149,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
