Overview
Solar Gaines is an Industrial Solar Electrical Contractor. We are a growing company of 150. We are hiring licensed Journeyman Electricians. No solar experience is necessary.
We build solar farms and large flat rooftop community solar projects. Essentially the building or the farm does not use the power. We construct new electrical services, and the power goes into the grid to be sold to homeowners and businesses. These projects are typically projects are in the 2-to-5-million-dollar range.
A large portion of the work will be prevailing wage projects. We have Great benefits, 3% 401K Contribution, Profit Sharing, Performance Bonus, Vacation & Sick Pay.
Duties
- Perform electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs in industrial and commercial settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to build and renovate electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams to understand project requirements and plan work accordingly.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and prevent failures.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems using a voltmeter and other diagnostic tools.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces, as required.
- Collaborate with other electricians, plumbers, and construction professionals to complete projects efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols and take necessary precautions when working with high-voltage equipment.
- Perform tasks in accordance with electrical codes and regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid journeyman/journeywoman electrician license.
- Experience in the electrical trade, preferably in industrial or commercial settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles, including electrical codes and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, including voltage testers and multimeters.
- Familiarity with industrial and commercial electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and climbing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
