Responsibilities:
Duties to Include but not limited to:
- Ability to troubleshoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems problems
- Experience completing technical installation of audiovisual systems
- Knowledge of standard software for DSP set-up, switcher set-up, etc.
- Experience with Polycom/Cisco, ClearOne, Biamp and similar products
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must be able to lead of team for all Audio/Video Installation Projects.
- Must be able to troubleshoot any issues that arise during/after project installation, including touch panels, PC display systems, video racks, and audio systems.
- Must be able to train/provide assistance to lower-level Video Installers when needed.
- Lead Video QA efforts across division with assistance from Installation Lead and Service Delivery Managers.
- Must be able to communicate with PM’s and/or customers about all aspects of the Video Project.
- Supporting all facets of video installations, which includes the pulling without damage, installing and termination of: Coax, CAT6, Speaker Wire, Fiberoptic Cable and Low voltage Control Cables.
- Basic signal flow knowledge and ability to read Video Engineer Designs/Drawings.
- Local travel may be required between customer buildings or temporary assignment to an alternate location in support of special projects
- Flexibility to support customer mission; may have opportunity/need to work extended hours or weekends during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests.
- Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
- Maintaining and updating records and tracking databases
- Using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
- Providing input on team’s success, accomplishments, roadblocks, etc.
- Providing weekly status reports, and other reports as required.
- Attending customer meetings
- Meeting contractual performance criteria
- Drive to local buildings to pick up materials
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree to total of 11+ years.
- Strong communication skills due to variety of groups to be working with, such as co-workers, management, and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Resolving technical problems and answering queries
- Self-motivated, organized, with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to embrace diverse technical disciplines and excellent customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to quickly learn new skills while on the job
- Attention to detail, leadership, and collaborative and independent work process
- Demonstrated problem solving and technical skills to resolve critical IT issues.
- Expertise, training, and actual work experience with customer specific, systems and technologies.
- Must be a self-starter, work independently, and work with a clear and defined mission.
- Must demonstrate ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.
- Must be able to position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
- Able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts.
- Ascends/descends a ladder, 10+ feet high while pulling cables and adjusting equipment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Related work experience in customer specific environment.
- Experience with installing, terminating, pulling Audio/Video cabling and Video QA.
- Extron Certificate and AMX Control Programmer Certificate
- CTS certification a plus
