DESCRIPTION
Manage, develop, mentor and coach individual and collective talent to develop manufacturing and supply chain capability across the organization. Provide manufacturing leadership and improvement focus in operations driving results, creating and monitoring measure, providing motivation, and setting expectations in safety, quality, delivery and cost. Champion continuous improvement projects that align with the Operating Systems and Functional Excellence direction by leveraging common processes, tools and information systems. Align with internal business partners to gain support and advocacy of enterprise manufacturing and supply chain initiatives. Review key performance indicators and operational trends to validate root cause analysis and corrective action plans. Intervene to address supply chain failures as necessary, and prepare and manage an annual operating plan including expense and resources. Set the aim for the organization and ensure individual work plans are consistent with supply chain initiatives. Champion and model proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace. Provide manufacturing leadership for a large plant or large department. Recognize areas in which a process can be improved by properly implementing process improvement and methodologies to reduce process cost and improve quality in current manufacturing processes. Examine HSE incidents by completing quality, evidence-based investigations with accurate root cause analysis, resulting in effective corrective actions, accurate reporting, and avoiding repeated incidents. Drive improvement in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and efficiency for operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Positions require a Master’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer, Operations Manager or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer, Operations Manager or related position. Experience to include: Develop manufacturing and supply chain capability; Continuous improvement projects; Manufacturing and supply chain initiatives; Key performance indicators and operational trends; Root cause analysis and corrective action plans; Address supply chain failures; Manage an annual operating plan; Model health and safety behaviors; Improve quality in manufacturing processes.
