Job Summary:
The Director, VBR Finance is responsible for managing the monthly process for at least four (4) states for the value-based reconciliation (VBR) reporting and payments in addition to proactively working collaboratively with the markets to identify trends affecting future VBR requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the development of expense projections to support forecast and budget and monitor monthly variances to identify trends
- Maintain compliance to internal policies and procedures, contractual requirements or other external covenants
- Manage the monthly accrual process for all shared savings arrangements and quality P4Q programs
- Responsible for managing financial analysis requests; oversees the completion of various financial evaluations on a timely and accurate basis
- Consults with market network leadership and market CFOs to ensure reported results are complete, accurate and conform with contractual commitments and expectations
- Support monthly review, quarterly forecast process, and annual budget process
- Develop program/process enhancements based on market strategic plans and updates/revisions to its VBR program design
- Develops detailed SOPs, policies and procedures and SOX documentation; work with Internal Audit to ensure an annual audit is performed to ensure proper controls are in place and being tracked
- Lead the planning, designing, implementation and updates to new and existing reporting tools
- Oversee AccuReports training of internal CareSource staff as well as the provider groups engaged in VBR arrangements within the markets
- Develops professional staff such that appropriate backup and contingency plans exist in the event of turnover
- Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises and reviews the work of staff responsible for providing budget services
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in accounting, finance, economics, computer sciences or related field or equivalent work experience is required
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other related post-graduate degree is preferred
- Eight (8) or more years of experience in accounting/finance/budget is required
- Six (6) years of management experience is required
- Five (5) years of managed care or healthcare experience is required

- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- May be required to travel occasionally
Compensation Range:
$130,300.00 - $228,100.00
