John Deere Greeneville: Production Associate
As aProduction Associatewith John Deere in Greeneville, TN, you will:
Perform assembly related operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:
- Assemble parts or components to specification.
- Support robotic weld process as needed by loading or unloading fixtures.
- Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.
- Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance.
- Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections.
- Operate power driven equipment such as forklifts and industrial trucks to move material, parts, and equipment.
- Use various types of tools and equipment to perform work - including but not limited to hand and power tools, testing and runoff equipment, ladders, hoists, fixtures, jigs, and gages.
- Lubricate, check, and clean work equipment and tooling.
- Assist and support other team members.
- Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have at least one of the following:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
- At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
- Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.
- Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).
Preferred Qualifications: (What makes you stand out)
- Current (or recent) experience as a contingent worker of at least 60 days in a similar role at John Deere Power Products - demonstrating strong performance and attendance.
