PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Senior Analyst, Business Analytics & Reporting at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this position is to collaborate with Consumer Banking leadership and other business partners to develop executive scorecards to track and analyze product growth and operational efficiency performance across all Consumer Bank products, marketing channels, and operation process. This position will also support Financial Planning and Analysis during reforecast and budget cycles. This position will lead, contribute to, and work directly on projects to drive Consumer Bank team’s performance evaluation, improvement, and decision-making.

Lead the creation of the overall Consumer Banking scorecard (growth, profitability, and operations), work with business and product owners to develop executive presentation for monthly / quarterly business review and strategy planning discussion.
Integrate data from multiple sources to reconcile differences and interpret data, apply statistics modeling to perform loan and deposits volume forecast (i.e. regression and time series analysis), and present business insights and recommendation to product owners.
Work with Consumer Banking MIS Reporting team to ensure scheduled and ad-hoc executive reporting requests are fulfilled accurately and timely and provide business insights to Consumer Banking leaders.
Provide rationale of operational performance, synthesize, and translate analytics into actionable presentations.
Gather, prepare, analyze, and monitor data from multiple sources for internal operation reporting utilizing existing tools (Excel, SQL, or Tableau). Research discrepancies and convey feedback to reporting team and business leaders.
Support the Financial Planning and Analysis during monthly estimation, quarterly reforecast, and annual budget.
Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Finance, and other internal business functions to obtain quantitative and qualitative data of business process and provide insights to business results.
Assist in Consumer Banking projects as required, including special studies and analysis.
Work closely with direct management in the holistic evaluation of strategies aimed at driving profitable product portfolio growth.
Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field is required. Master’s Degree in a quantitative or a related field is highly preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience required, preferably in Financial Industry (Bank, Credit Union, Insurance) with a focus in analytics and reporting. Including but not limited to performance measurement, financial analysis, product growth.
Experience with Hyperion software is highly preferred.
Hands-on skills in SQL, Python/R, Tableau, VBA, and proficiency working with large dataset are preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel (i.e., Pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP, index/match, SUMIF) and PowerPoint skills are required.
Ability to use data to illustrate business performance, risks, and develop materials for all levels of the company, from operational to C-level audience.
Effectively interact and communicate with varying levels of leadership across a broad network of resources.
Ability to manage many initiatives simultaneously while providing progressive delivery.
Proven project management and executive presentation skills.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
Travel
Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
