Job Summary – The Application Support Specialist is responsible for providing application support, and training for purchased software applications. The incumbent will also participate in the purchase process for new applications to ensure products meet company guidelines and expectations. The Application Support Specialist will manage vendor support contact before, during, and after purchase as well as work closely with Server Engineers, Network Engineers, Information Security and other teams to address issues or concerns with applications.
Job-Specific Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Math, or related field required
- 2+ years’ experience working in a technology support role required
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills required
- Must work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail keeping quality results as the central focus of all work
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
- Great written and verbal communication skills
