The ideal candidate will have experience working with transit agencies. The successful candidate shall demonstrate knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local standards and requirements and understands project delivery processes for various phases of project development from conceptual design to design support during construction.
In the role of Rail Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
- Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single- discipline projects or large routine projects.
- Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently
- Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
- Conduct concept, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals, and other disciplines.
- Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance.
- Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule.
- Work with the Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews.
- Implement QA/QC procedures.
- Execute training for personnel as established by strategic plans.
- Mentor less-experienced staff and support continued professional development.
- This position will require travel as needed to Rail Projects and client sites
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain reciprocity
- Minimum 5 years project management experience in transportation, such as roadway or rail/transit, with a proven track record in running projects/programs.
- Local client relationships with transportation agencies including roadway, rail, and transit
- Knowledge of regulations governing Rail and Transit agencies.
- Valid Driver's License
