KPMG is currently seeking a Director to join our Advisory Data organization.
Responsibilities:
- Partner strategically with senior leadership within the firm (offering and industry leads, Partners, Principals and Managing Directors ) to understand business needs and translate them into data and analytic requirements
- Work with teams to develop and curate go-to-market materials leveraging third-party data for proposal support, client conversations, and account intelligence
- Collaborate with other enablement teams, such as Firmwide Analytic Solutions and Market Data Service to support service pods (for example. sector and offering lines of business) through data acquisition and advanced analytics
- Lead a group of high performing data concierges (on-shore and off-shore) to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of deliverables for a high-volume number of use cases within set timelines; use cases can span from several days to several months
- Foster and maintain relationships with executive leadership in ADO and KPMG US to ensure critical strategic staffing, budgeting, data, and analytic needs are appropriately addressed
- Support the maturation of the Data Concierge program by finding areas of process improvement and contributing to strategic internal/structuring improvement projects
Qualifications:
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in defining business analytic capabilities, breaking them down into actionable components; work cross functionally to deliver value as well as strong analytical, creative problem-solving and decision-making skills; minimum five years of recent experience related to data analysis, data science or applied analytics, preferable related to consulting, and working knowledge of dashboard and data visualization techniques for impactful storytelling
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required; Master of Business Administration from an accredited college/university and/or certifications are preferred
- Experience identifying use cases opportunities for advanced analytics, build use cases to prove out value and justify investment
- ability to oversee daily operations of a small data and analytics team, offering prompt feedback for staff development within the firm
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, managing various stakeholders and use cases concurrently across diverse industries and KPMG service portfolios
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with and effectively communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of the organization
