Forklift Operator III

Wage: $22.00/hr
Steel Toe Boots/Composite Toe are required for this position.
General Summary
The Forklift Operator III is primarily responsible for safely operating complex powered material handling equipment (includes the Order Picker, Turret, Drexel, Clamp Truck, and Slipsheeter, etc.) for the purpose of product receipt, storage and order fulfillment. This position is responsible for product safety, quality, legality and integrity. May require specialized on-the-job training.
Primary Responsibilities
- Full case order picking for replenishment, customer orders and packaging components.
- Receive inbound product shipped on trailer that are not palletized - utilize specialized attachments based on the product type to pick up the product from the truck and palletize the product.
- Pallet retrieval and put away in narrow aisle bulk rack storage system.
- Quality control to ensure accuracy of all transactions.
- Loading and unloading of pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines, by hand or equipment.
- Sorting, building and wrapping product to pallets to ensure compliance to customer expectation.
- Maintain accuracy of storage locations by performing daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance tasks.
- Perform other distribution work functions as needed due to business volume and need.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years’ experience with daily power equipment operations is required.
- Must meet all PPE and fall protection requirements.
- Ability to operate powered complex material handling equipment, i.e. Order Picker, Turret, Drexel, etc.
- Ability to work on equipment at extended heights.
- Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and flexibility in meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service driven
- Strong team player.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface with adequate lighting. Temperatures can be very hot during the summer months and very cold during the winter months. Workspace can be very dusty and occasionally noisy due to traffic of motorized vehicles operating.
