Role Overview:
Performing at a high level of autonomy, the Manager – Data and Analytics performs analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data from systems used by all Rescue Mission entities. Requires the ability and technical knowledge to analyze and filter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems and using statistical tools to identify, research, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction.
Responsible to create and maintain an environment that instills the advancement of those we serve towards dependency on Jesus Christ and financial self-sufficiency; the fulfillment of ministry mission & eight key values; and the efficient & accountable stewardship of ministry resources.
Essential Job Duties:
- Business Analyst- Management of large datasets in a number of databases. Compiles analysis of program outcomes and organizational KPIs. (25%)
- Oversee the maintenance of all data hygiene of donor data contained within organization’s CRM. (15%)
- Oversee collection and reporting of admissions and outreach data. (10%)
- Project Management – Develops project plans, designs reports, and technology-related projects. (15%)
- Written Communication – Presents numerical data effectively in changes/graphs or other numerical representation. Report design and writing. (20%)
- Problem Solving – Gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops creative solutions to databased/other issues related to data management. (15%)
- Oral Communication – Demonstrates group/individual presentation skills. Speaks clearly and articulately. (Varied)
Key Performance Indicators:

- Planning/Organizing-Prioritizes and plans work activities, sets goals and objectives, delegates resources (including internal and external organizational resources), and develops workable action plans to achieve organizational goals.
- Data Hygiene-Ensures the cleanliness, accuracy, and overall quality of data within data bases across all Rescue Mission programs; and is responsible for the full scope of donor data hygiene within the Rescue Missions CRM.
Job Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 4 years related work experience or Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
- Education: Master's Degree (MA)
- Experience: 4-5 yrs of job related work experience.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Proficient in Salesforce
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write business reports, correspondence and procedure manuals and present complex information.
- Math Skills: High Skills: Ability to work with mathmatical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Job Related Certifications / Licensing / Professional Registry or Memberships Requirements:
- Certification in an Analyst program preferred.
- Other Skills and Abilities: SQL, Excel (intermediate-Advanced), Statistical programs, two years of working knowledge of Salesforce
Additional Job Requirements: Report design, writing/analysis, SQL, Crystal Reports, Excel (Intermediate-Advanced), two years of working knowledge of Salesforce (Proficient), PowerPoint (Advanced); other statistical software experience helpful. Strong collaborative skills to work with a number of stakeholders, including external partners and internal groups (program and development). Strong and savvy interpersonal skills to navigate a dynamic environment with multiple internal stakeholders.
