Hilton Waikiki Beach is looking for a self-starter who is familiar with our current local wholesale travel market to join their sales team! This individual will be responsible for generating a high profile and quality perception in the market place while also generating group guest room and other revenues. The Sales Manager will create action plans and presentations utilizing existing company reports with the purpose of achieving hotel financial goals. Also responsible for maximizing profitability and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with the local leisure market and local hotel wholesalers, sells and promotes our hotel guestrooms and other services. This individual proactively develops new group business for the hotel with weekly strategic efforts, and maintains existing client relationships and achieves consistent success in meeting both monthly unit and revenue goals delivering sales professionalism by Hilton standards and ethics.
The successful sales manager is required to demonstrate the ability to effectively utilize Hilton systems, have an attention to detail, and be able to accurately track sales productivity; must attain monthly sales goals while ensuring a positive buying experience for every client while building a strong referral network. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent customer service. Must also be able to work independently and complete assignments within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.Works closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to ensure coordination between hotel sales and event management.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Participates in and contributes to developing the Hotel's sales and marketing strategies.
- Develops and implements strategies for achieving individual sales goals.
- Meets or exceeds pre-determined individual and team goals within the corporate negotiated, local negotiated, and wholesale segments; includes segmentation and sub-segment group goals.
- Responsible for prompt, accurate, and thorough handling (within the business day) of inquiry calls and monitoring the efficient flow of client/account maintenance paperwork.
- Compiles, maintains, and keeps current lists of existing and prospective corporate, retail, and wholesale accounts.
- Actively solicit new corporate, retail, and wholesale accounts to increase revenue consistent with hotel goals.
- Conducts outside sales calls and phone solicitations to existing and new clients to obtain business. Also, site inspections and on-site meals are utilized to book business.
- Maintain active liaison with competitors regionally through personal contacts, professional and industry associations.
- Monitor pricing, service levels, facilities and function activities at competitive facilities to ensure the Hotel remains in a competitive position.
- Evaluate potential and existing accounts for profitability and overall benefit to the Hotel.
- Retrieves and interprets data to be utilized in client and corporate interactions, with the goal of establishing a mutually beneficial strategic plan.
- Prepares proposals with the Director of Sales that are geared to maximize profit while satisfying client needs.
- Participate in sales, promotion, marketing, strategic plans, and services.
- Prepare a weekly activity report that includes all financial booking performance and personal call reports for active solicitation performed and weekly expenses.
- Perform related duties as instructed and assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in hotel sales.
- Demonstrated success in local hotel wholesale and leisure markets, desired.
- Current local hotel leisure and wholesale market familiarity, strongly preferred.
- Delphi knowledge is strongly preferred
- OnQ knowledge and experience preferred
- Associate Degree required. Bachelor Degree or higher, preferred.
- Relevant military experience in a comparable capacity
