Job Description
General Responsibilities: Provide day to day Control Room Production Operations and technical support for broadcasts for NBC 7 San Diego and/or Telemundo 20 that are disseminated through a variety of multi-channel platforms 365 days a year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coding and technical execution of local news and other programming using the Ross Overdrive Automated Production Control environment and/or a range of manual processes.
- Operate Audio, Video and Graphic playback operations.
- Provide direction to talent and other production crew members.
- Responsible for the ultimate technical quality of newscasts and other productions.
- Additional duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in video production or local news, preferably TD/Directing experience with Ross Overdrive Production Automation or a similar system.
- Experience with production switcher operations, manual and automated video and graphics play out, and audio board operations.
- Must have strong oral/written communication skills, solid interpersonal skills, be able to work in a team, and be able to work accurately under pressure and deadlines.
- Must demonstrate ability to remain calm under pressure and think critically.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Dalet Galaxy.
- Experience with Ross Overdrive Production Automation systems.
- Experience with robotic cameras, video server playback/ingest operations, and audio mixing is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Self-motivated.
