- Test assigned equipment per print specifications and work instructions via computer simulations.
- Ability to load and control associated software on equipment and parts orders.
- Demonstrated command of all established Standard Operating Procedures.
- Determine scheduling priorities, or check with Team Lead for clarification.
- Communicate effectively within and between departments to successfully resolve equipment questions, irregularities, and determine solutions.
- Inspect equipment for quality control standards and complete appropriate documentation.
- Complete electrical and mechanical assembly of bridges, pumps, dryers, and signs per print specification or per the Team Leader instruction as needs dictate.
- Operate basic hand and power tools.
- Assist with packaging and crating of equipment for shipment.
- Forklift and/or aisle stacker use to transport/relocate inventory or product.
- Follow all safety and PPE requirements per established company policies.
- Maintain a neat and clean work area utilizing company established 5-S Program.
- Contribute proactively to a team-oriented, continuous improvement environment.
Advanced Responsibilities:
- A demonstrated command of all required responsibilities, including the ability to effectively flex between multiple products and assignments.
- Completion of all assigned training programs, including on-line technical services programs.
- Create and implement improved operational processes to reduce cost, improve quality, and increase through-put using strong problem-solving skills.
- Create and control work instructions and checklists.
- Act as a liaison with engineering department during development phase of new product introduction.
- A demonstrated ability to train other PDQ employees, particularly testing functions.
- Cycle counting and inventory control activities.
- Perform Job, Receiving, or Inventory-control transactions using Oracle system.
- Use of Micro-Soft office products such as Word or Excel.
- Ability to coordinate and oversee full machinery setup including mounting systems.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:
Education Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Vocational Certificate in Electricity or an Associate degree in Electro-mechanical Technology, Electrical Design, or related program is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- Must be able to demonstrate strong skills and understanding of electro-mechanical applications for a wide variety of PDQ equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using blue prints and schematics.
- Must possess the ability to decipher and use digital multi-meters to check voltage and current.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, pneumatics and pumps is preferred.
- Prior experience in use of general hand and power tools.
- Computer proficiency in a Windows environment.
- Prior experience using Oracle or related software is preferred.
- Consistently working with a high degree of accuracy and with an attention to.
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Quality Responsibilities:

- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to normal office conditions like telephone, personal computer, reports and files. The employee will also be exposed to normal conditions of a manufacturing facility. The employee will be regularly required to talk or hear. The employee will be required to stand for long periods of time. The employee will use his/her hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will frequently lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 70 pounds. When working on machinery, employee will bend, stoop and crouch on a regular basis and constantly move about to coordinate work. The employee is required to regularly set up, adjust, assemble, control, test and operate machinery.
