The National Security Sector is seeking a Training Specialist to develop, instruct, and support the Warfighter requirements for Operator and Maintainer New Equipment Training (NET) analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of training packages for satellite communication (SATCOM) equipment, baseband system components, radios, line of sight (LOS), wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) and various other systems within the Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN) architecture. This position can be located at Fort Eisenhower GA, Fort Cavazos TX or Aberdeen Proving Grounds MD.
Primary Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the STS Training Specialist and Instructor include New Equipment Training (NET) analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, delivery, and maintenance of training packages in accordance with (IAW) Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Regulation (TR) 350-70, and TRADOC Pamphlet (TP) 350-70-14. Operate, install, configure, troubleshoot, and perform field level maintenance on TN equipment which include satellite communication (SATCOM) terminals, network communication systems, radios, and line of site (LOS), and wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi). Utilize Work Packages (WPs), Technical Manuals (TMs), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) product material, and Detailed Technical Procedures (DTPs) along with available equipment to develop training material. Review quarterly updates to make certain training material remain up to date, and in line with software changes pushed to warfighters supporting TN systems. Travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations by means of Temporary Duty (TDY) to support New Equipment Fielding (NEF) Training, modifications, and operational needs statements (ONS) for TN. Be familiar with installing software and verifying components connections and operations which include updating systems with quarterly software updates, and ensuring functionality by confirming access to the satellite, accessing a webpage on the world wide web, and making a softphone or voice over internet protocol (VoIP). Repair, troubleshoot, and perform PMCs on TN systems to ensure continued operation. Work with TN logistics representatives, and customers to return merchandise authorization (RMA) components that fail during NET, and ONS. Be accustomed to functioning in a classroom setting and conducting After Action Reviews (AAR) to gather warfighter feedback on TN courses. Prepare and provide daily reports, student rosters, and AARs to Training Manager in support of training. Experienced in working within a team to accomplish task, meet deadlines, conduct training, validations, and verifications. Perform additional duties as specified to meet the needs of NET, support the customer, and meet mission requirements.

Curriculum Development:
- Coordinate with Government customers to prepare and maintain TPF and NET plans for current and future systems.
- Create customized training plans based on current systems, new system upgrades, and mission-specific requirements.
Training Services:
- Provide classroom instruction, and field level training on TN systems and sub systems.
- Develop Task Analysis, Terminal Learning Objects (TLOs), Enabling Learning Objectives (ELOs), Lesson Plans (LPs), Learning Step Activities (LSAs), Student Guides (SGs), Instructor Guides (IGs), Practical Exercises (PEs),
- Assessments, Student Handouts, and Course Schedules for Training Packages (TPs).
- In support of NET development, inputting data into TRADOC Training Development Capability (TDC), which include entering Training Support Package (TSP) Program of Instruction (POI), and Lesson Plans (LPs) into the system data base.
- Interface with the Government Training Manager, Leads, and Customers daily, and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for training development.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on equipment before, during, and after use to ensure continuous operation, and to identify potential problems swiftly.
- Execute equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and field level task to ensure technical proficiency.
- Review course material and perform actions or objectives to standard to ensure all are in line with TRADOC regulations.
- Conduct and participate in internal validations with team members and external verifications with stakeholders to evaluate NET documentation for quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
Cross Training:
- Work amongst a team and individually to broaden knowledge on TN systems and participate in informal and formal training to increase the familiarity of systems competency.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 or more years of experience or equivalent Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) in lieu of degree and 4 years of hands on experience on related TN (formerly WIN-T) systems.
- Active DoD secret security clearance.
- Technical understanding and experience with TN systems.
- Fundamental understanding of SATCOM, LOS, and Wi-Fi systems.
- Must have LAN and WAN networking experience (Net+, Sec+, CCNA, preferred).
- U.S. Passport required.
- Minimum of 80% CONUS and OCONUS travel required.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
