Position Purpose: The Mechanical Engineer II will plan and conduct mechanical engineering work without detailed supervision, but who may require guidance on unusual aspects of the engineering task. An ME-II is engaged-in and delivers-on mechanical engineering assignments that offer greater responsibility and risk.

Job Responsibilities:
- The Mechanical Engineer II works independently and successfully contributes when they are provided clear objectives and require only limited guidance. They perform duties requiring the application of mature knowledge of mechanical engineering principals and standards; something only experience can An ME-II works on problems for which it is necessary to modify established designs or techniques and devises new approaches to mechanical design problems. As such an ME-II is a contributor to original work.
- The ME-II identifies project priorities and knows when the need for cooperation with other disciplines exists. Later in their career, an ME-II may outline and assign work to others, review said work for technical accuracy and adequacy, and may even plan, direct, coordinate and supervise the work of other staff.
- ME-II design concepts or recommendations may be reviewed for soundness of judgment but are usually expected to be technically accurate and feasible. An ME-II makes responsible decisions on matters assigned, including the implementation of mechanical engineering standards and procedures, and may consult or advise others in specialty areas of which they have gained significant
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications/Education:
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
