What you will do:
- Overall responsibility for managing day-to-day activities of the New Your City territory ensuring customers have a positive experience in all aspects of the sales process.
- Develop, implement, and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Accountable for all financial metrics, revenue, GP, expenses, and EBIT targets.
- Maintain and strengthen current customer relationships while developing new opportunities.
- Regularly conduct market analysis to determine customer potential and develop a sales strategy.
- Work with the marketing and digital teams to develop plans for the expansion of the business in other territories, target marketing, sales promotions, and social media programs.
- Resolve issues from customers, vendors, and other departments promptly, as needed for appropriate resolution.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers to ensure inventory availability to meet customer needs.
- Work with purchasing and supply chain teams to ensure the timely availability/delivery of products.
What you will bring:
- Ten or more years of experience in a sales leadership role.
- Demonstrated track record of revenue growth and sales performance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytic and quantitative skills with the ability to utilize data.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- The ability to sit, stand, and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
- The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and heavier weights with proper equipment.
- The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties.
- This job is performed within an office, retail, and light industrial environment.
- Ability to travel throughout the NYC region.
Location: The Cooper Electric office is in mid-town Manhattan, however, oversight includes all five boroughs.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; availability after hours to attend company and customer functions as needed.
