What does a successful Payments Solution Architect do at Fiserv?
You will provide thought leadership in architecture, technology, and solution design to our product, business, and technology teams for both internal initiatives and client-facing engagements. Utilizing your experience in application, data, and platform architecture, you will support key technology initiatives involving card issuing and payment platform solutions while you lead the architecture and design efforts throughout the sales and implementation lifecycle, supporting client technical discussions, design, development, and testing activities.
What you will do:
- Participate in understanding, structuring and inception meetings to design the solution from its early stages
- Responsible for defining the architecture and functional solution, and defining the impact of the solution in VisionPlus
- Facilitate architecture discussions and design workshops with customers to identify and evaluate architectural and technical requirements and develop solution design documents for delivery to clients and internal development team. Prepare high level effort estimates for proposed solution designs
- Review technical designs to ensure alignment to the architecture definition and adherence to compliance, security, and enterprise IT standards. Ensure all requirements are addresses in the technical solution
- Assist in resolving complex issues and incidents during implementation, testing, production and aiding in the implementation and stabilization of the solution
What you will need to have:
- 8+ years of proven experience building and implementing card payment solutions using VisionPLUS as an architect, technical SME, or senior developer
- 5+ years of deep technical expertise in at least 2 VisionPLUS application subsystems from either CMS, FAS, TRAMS and/or VMX and understanding of the overall VisionPLUS architecture, including common aspects like security, framework, integration between modules, monetary and non-monetary transactional flows, points/rewards modules, and data extraction and reporting
- 4+ years of proven experience in solution design, ability to translate client requirements into high level designs and estimate time and effort to build the solution
- 3+ years of solution architecture experience in consumer and corporate card payment products (debit, credit, prepaid), card issuing platforms, end-to-end payment authorization process and card schemes
- Knowledge of CICS, COBOL and z/OS, including JCL, payment authorization switches (e.g., Base24) and Fraud prevention solutions (e.g., Falcon Fraud Manager)
What would be great to have:
- Spoken Spanish language proficiency is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
